Located in Barangay Lombog, Guindulman town, Bohol, Landthai Hill Resort offers a relaxing mountain breeze and the glorious view of the Bohol skyline.

“For nature lovers, this is the perfect place for you,” said resort owner Allan Estomo.

The mountain resort was developed in 2019 albeit accidentally.

Estomo said he used to go to the hill to catch cellphone signals when he got an idea to develop the property.

“This place offers a 360 view of Bohol. The cool breeze is very relaxing so I got the idea of developing this,” said Estomo, an electrical engineer by profession.

As the place started being noticed by local tourists, the Covid-19 pandemic came.

The place was closed for eight months due to the pandemic, putting Estomo’s investment in peril.

As Covid-19 restrictions started to ease up, visitors started coming back but typhoon ‘’Odette’’ struck in 2021.

The resort facility was badly damaged by the typhoon but Estomo and wife Maryjane were not discouraged.

Allan decided to retire as a seaman and focused on developing the resort.

Using his hard-earned income, the 2.5-hectare resort is now well-developed. It now has a swimming pool and can now accommodate overnight users.

“The resort now has two swimming pools from spring water for guests who want to take a dip,” said Estomo.

Estomo said the resort gets busy during weekends.

“We have visitors coming from outside Bohol. But most of our guests are from Tagbilaran City and Panglao,” said Estomo.

A cottage accommodation is only P1,200 to P1,800 per night. Entrance fee for day use is only P80.

The resort offers delectable cuisines such as its best-seller “bisayang manok” (native chicken).
