World Balance and Scottie Thompson celebrated the success of the newly launched colorway of the ST1 called "The Shot" last April 15 as the pairs flew off the shelves in less than 24 hours since it was released.
The ST1 was already up by midnight on World Balance's website and was listed as sold out at around 10 a.m. the same day. This is already the fourth colorway of Thompson’s signature line with World Balance, yet all the releases have been proven to be a hit as fans demand more stocks. Supporters were overjoyed when the news broke out that there would be a new colorway of the ST1. Fans were thrilled that they have finally copped their own pair of "The Shot," a black-red colorway of his ST1, which is also seen as a tribute to his Ginebra roots. As it is just a limited release, just like the previous colorways, many resellers have been taking advantage of this and are selling it for a higher price. This has been a usual occurrence ever since the first colorway of the ST1 was launched - which serves as a testimony that the ST1 line is indeed the best-performing local basketball shoe available in the market.
