Sean “Hide” Baguino, Aaron “Aaron” Bingay and Justin “Juschie” Tan all showed up and shrugged off resistance from their Chinese counterparts to essay the dominant sweep.

Trace Esport actually went off to a good start taking an early 3-0 kill lead in the series opener although the Filipinos managed to easily recover behind perfect engagements from Golden Hart “Demonkite” Dajao on the Ashe and Hyde on the Camille that led to an NGX’s four-man wipe on Trace Esports.

It was a see-saw affair from there between the two teams before Trace went for a sneaky Baron take to seize brief control of the game. NGX though refused to fall too far behind, initiating with death bush plays that allowed them to recover and eventually take one of the Chinese team’s inhibitor towers.

A clutch elder dragon steal from Aaron’s Jayce then sealed the deal for the Filipinos to draw the first blood in the series on a tight 12-11 count. Hide finished with a 2-2-6 KDA while Aaron added a 2-2-4 line.

Riding the momentum of the Game 1 win, NGX went on the offensive to open Game 2, putting on the pressure against its Chinese counterpart with aggressive invasion and rotation to take a 5-0 lead.

The Filipinos kept their foot on the gas pedal and never looked back as they completed a perfect 15-0 demolition of the Chinese in Game 2.

Hide on the Renekton pick ran wild with an impeccable 1-0-10 KDA while Juschie simply owned the entire jungle area with a perfect 8-0-1 line on the Jayce.

Next up for the WRL Asia PH qualifier champions is fellow team from the APAC conference Buriram United on April 14.
