ILOILO CITY -- The 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) of the Philippine Army is hosting the United States Armed Forces for the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) Training that is part of this year’s joint military exercises known as ‘Balikatan 38-23.’
"We are confident that this CBRN training program will enhance the capabilities of our military and allied forces to respond better and allows us to learn from each other, share best practices, and strengthen our readiness to respond to CBRN-related incidents,” said Major General Marion Sison, 3ID commander.

The five-day training started Monday, April 10, at Camp Peralta, the 3ID’s headquarters in Jamindan town, Capiz province.
The training includes classroom lectures, hands-on exercises, and simulations.
“This year's exercise will focus on enhancing the interoperability and readiness of the Philippine and the US armed forces in responding to a wide range of security challenges,” added Lieutenant Colonel Vicel Jan Garsuta, officer-in-charge of 3ID Public Affairs Office.
