BFJODA, other transport groups won’t join strike; Gov. Fernando seeks protection for drivers, operators

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bulacan to protect Bulakenyo jeepney drivers and operators following the announcement of the Bulacan Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (BFJODA) and other jeepney transport groups in the province that they will not join the week-long nationwide transport strike which will start on Monday, March 6.

I spoke with Provincial Director Col. Relly B. Arnedo last Friday and we agreed to prioritize the safety of the driver who will continue plying their routes for the Bulakenyo commuters. The policemen will be posted along roads to secure peace and order provincewide)," the governor said.
