Man arrested for stealing P1.2 million worth of wires in Makati City


Police arrested a man who allegedly stole a total of P1,285,000 worth of construction wires and supplies from a warehouse in Makati City on Tuesday, March 28, the Southern Police District (SPD) said.

Police identified the suspect as Enrico Buluran, 40.

The police report said that the area manager of Ricolite Inc., upon conducting an inventory in the storage facility, noticed that some wires were missing, prompting him to review the facility's CCTV.

He then discovered that a number of men broke into the storage compound, took the boxes of wires, and loaded the supplies into a tricycle.

A total of 360 boxes of Unicon THHN 3.5mm wires worth P3,500/box with a total amount of P1,260,000, and 10 pieces of Unicon Reel wire worth P250,000 were stolen from the facility.

The area manager reported the incident to the Makati City Police.

With the help of officials of Bantay Bayan of Barangay Tejeros, the police arrested Buluran in a follow-up operation.

The authorities recovered two boxes of Unicon THHN wires worth ₱7,000 from the suspect.

Police said Buluran's other accomplices still remain at large and a manhunt operation is being conducted against them.
