The search is on for the next Pasigueña beauty queen as the Pasig City local government opened applications for entries to the “Mutya ng Pasig” pageant in line with its year-long 450th founding anniversary celebration.

The “Mutya ng Pasig” was previously held annually as a local beauty pageant that showcased and recognized the women of Pasig who embodied beauty, intelligence, and skill, thus, becoming the muses of the city.

The local government last hosted the Mutya ng Pasig pageant in 2017.

With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, the city government revived the beauty pageant to fully commemorate the milestones reached by the city since its foundation and honor the Pasigueñas of the new generation.

According to the announcement made by the City Public Information Office (PIO) on Monday, March 27, eligible beauty pageant candidates must be 18 to 26-year old, Filipino citizens who are at least 5’5” in height, and should be high school graduates.

They must be Pasigueñas by birth or by blood, or a resident of Pasig for at least three consecutive years.

They are required to be single, have good moral character and reputation, and be fluent in both English and Filipino.
