REUNITED! Ex-couple Lotlot de Leon, Monching Gutierrez together on TV

"Hello, welcome back to the '80s!"

This is what seasoned actress Lotlot de Leon said during a recent press conference for GMA and Viu's collaborative series "The Write One."

There, Lotlot is reunited with former husband Ramon Christopher “Monching” Gutierrez.

Asked how it feels working together again, Lotlot related, "Actually, you know, it's always a blessing to have a project but it's a double blessing if you're working with the right people."

"When this was presented to me and I heard about the story, I said: 'Why not?' And then when they said that Mon was going to be in it, too, I also said: 'Why not?' It's been 20 years since we've done anything together on screen. So, bakit hindi?"

As to Monching, he said, "Masaya. Very happy to be working with Lot again. Siyempre."

But the 52-year-old actor admitted he was nervous seeing Lotlot during the first taping day.

"Matagal kaming di nagka-work, di ba? So parang hindi na sanay," he related.

Lotlot didn't feel any anxiety at all.

The 52-year-old actress noted how everything went "smoothly."

"And you know prior to this project naman - because we have four children in between us... we never had a problem. So this is actually a blessing," was how she put it.

She pointed out: "Masayang-masaya lahat ng anak namin that we're together in this project."

It was in 1989 when Lotlot and Monching tied the knot.

The two parted ways after 13 years.

They have four children: Janine, Diego, Maxine, and Jessica.

In 2018, Lotlot married her longtime partner, Lebanese businessman Fadi El Soury.

Monching is still single.

“The Write One” is to be headlined by real-life couple Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali.
