It said, “We would like to express our gratitude to Welo [fan club] who send generous love to our artist Ong Seong-wu.”

“We inform you about Ong Seong-wu's enlistment in the military. Ong Seong-wu will receive basic military training at the training center on April 17 (Monday) and fulfill his defense duties as an active soldier in the army,” the agency said.

Fantagio said, “To minimize crowding on the day of enlistment, no separate official event will be held, and since the entrance ceremony to the recruit training center is a private event attended by many soldiers and their families, we ask fans to refrain from visiting.”

“We ask for your warm support and love for Ong Seong-wu, who will faithfully fulfill his military duty and return in good health,” it said.

Ong Seong-wu was born in 1995. He starred in the Netflix film “Seoul Vibe” last year.

Wanna One including Ong Seong-wu held their first fan meeting in Manila in October 2017 followed by their “One: The World” concert in Manila in September 2018.
