Nathalie Hart has always been identified as a sexy actress, but she wants to be known now for drama and more substantive roles. A more matured Nathalie will be what viewers and her followers will be seeing in her comeback movie "Kunwari Mahal Kita" produced by Viva Films which will be showing in theaters on March 15.

In the film, Nathalie plays the role of Cindy, a go-getting career-woman who is the wife of Greg (played by Joseph Marco.) She demands for an annulment but one day, when she visits the family-owned resort, she is surprised to see her husband with a woman (played by Ryza Cenon) who he introduces as his girlfriend. This turn of events affects Nathalie, and the plot takes on an interesting turn from there.

It might disappoint some fans of the former FHM cover girl that she's not showing a lot of skin in the movie. She hopes they will understand, as she explained: "I'm transitioning and I'm maturing in my craft. It's nice for me to have this kind of film."

"There's a kissing scene in the movie but it's not sexualized. It's really more of a family drama. You can bring your child, your uncle or your auntie to watch," she added.

What's also important is the precious lesson about relationships being imparted by the movie. "I got to recall past experiences when I broke up with someone and realized that I was in the wrong. You shouldn't give up over small matters, always try to work things out," she stressed.

Nathalie revealed that this is her second time to work with director Roderick Lindayag and Joseph.

"However, I was just an extra during my first movie with Joseph. I didn't have the chance to work with him fully. But in this second movie, I found him fun to work with, so relaxed. I like his character and personality. He's handsome but I look up to him like a brother. Barkada lang ang feel," she said of her co-star.

Other important things happened as well. She trained to be a Philippine Army reservist and spent some time in Sydney where most of her family members are. Then in August of last year, she became engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend, Brad Robert.

Back then, she disclosed that there was a project offered to her but she had to pass on that for lack of substance. She clarified that she is not saying goodbye to sexy roles or R-rated movies  "for as long as my role calls for it and the storyline is good."

"I have to admit that showbiz wasn't my priority last year. But now that my daughter is back to school and she spends time with her playmates, our schedule is getting structured and  I can slowly go out of my cocoon," Nathalie intimated.

"I really want to do family roles now, like a wife or a mom, because I'm like that in real life. I'm not saying no to steamy films but I'm in a good position to choose what I want to do now. Anything that will help me to become a better actor, that will be my choice," she stated.

('Kunwari Mahal Kita" will have its Red Carpet Premiere Night on Tuesday, March 14, at SM North Edsa The Block Cinema 2. Screening proper is at 7pm)
