JPMorgan boss meets local business leaders, BSP chief to discuss trade, investment


JPMorgan Chase boss Jamie Dimon met with local business leaders and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The roundtable discussion featured prominent business leaders, including SM Investments Corp. Chairman Amando M. Tetangco Jr., Ayala Corporation Chair Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Aboitiz Group President and CEO Sabin Aboitiz, Alliance Global CEO Kevin Tan, Jollibee Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong, and Vista Land & Lifescapes President and CEO Manuel Paolo Villar.

During his brief stay in Manila, Dimon also held a separate meeting with Remolona.

According to JPMorgan, the discussions revolved around global trade, technology, and cybersecurity.

Dimon also reiterated JPMorgan's ongoing investment in and commitment to its Philippine clients and operations. 

The bank has been present in the country since 1961 and operates a shared service center that employs over 20,000 people, providing essential support for its global operations.
