Pasig City holds last council meeting for 2023


The Pasig City local government on Thursday, Dec. 28, held its fifth and last council meeting for this year with the different departments of the local government unit (LGU) presenting their respective Accomplishment Reports for 2023 and future programs and initiatives for 2024.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said the City Development Council (CDC) meeting was held at the Chardonnay by Astoria, Oranbo, Pasig City, where more than 100 participants and representatives of the city's departments attended.

"Hitik sa kaganapan ang CDC meeting kung saan naging unang agenda ang presentasyon ng Accomplishment Report nito para sa taong 2023. Sa presentasyon na pinangunahan ni EnP. Priscella Mejillano, MGM, hepe ng City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), tinalakay ang resolutions na ipinasa ng CDC na opisyal nang inindorso sa 11th Sangguniang Panlungsod (The CDC meeting's first agenda is the presentation of Accomplishment Reports for the year 2023. The presentation was spearheaded by City Planning and Development Office Chief EnP. Priscella Mejillano. The presentation tackled the different resolutions passed by the CDC that was officially endorsed by the 11th City Council)," Sotto said.

"Bukod pa rito, ibinahagi rin niya ang mga nakatakdang proyekto para sa taong 2024, ilan sa mga ito ang redevelopment ng Pasig City Hall Campus; temporary relocation ng Pasig City Hall upang masiguro na patuloy ang pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa mamamayan; at pagpapalawig ng scholarship at social welfare programs ng lungsod (Aside from this, she also discussed the council's upcoming projects for the year 2024 which include the redevelopment of the Pasig City Hall Campus; temporary relocation of the Pasig City Hall to ensure its continuous service to the residents; and the expansion of the city's scholarships and social welfare programs)," he added.

After the 2023 Accomplishment Report presentation, the city presented its newly-elected and re-elected barangay chiefs as official members of the CDC. 

The city also held an awarding ceremony for the members of the CDC who were instrumental in making projects and programs in the city a reality.
