CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Three fireworks-related injuries were recorded in Region 4-A as of 6 a.m. on Tuesday, December 26.
The Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD)-Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) said it is higher by one case or 67 percent compared to the same period in the past five years or from 2018 to 2022.
Data came from sentinel hospitals in the region beginning December 21.
The DOH reminded the public that instead of using firecrackers, use alternative noise sources such as pots, cans, car horns, or play loud music to welcome the New Year.
