Zamboanga City launches 2 Christmas landmarks

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Mayor John Dalipe launched two Christmas landmarks on Saturday, December 9, at the Zamboanga City Hall and the Integrated Bus Terminal in line with this city’s Yuletide celebration dubbed “Festival Navidad.”

Dalipe led the traditional switch-on of Christmas lights at the Zamboanga City Hall with the theme “Starry, Starry Christmas.”

The Zamboanga City Hall shined brightly with thousands of Christmas lights adorning its facade.

Christmas decorations also adorned Paseo del Mar, Plaza Pershing, Plaza Rizal, and the small parks and plazas surrounding the seat of government here.

The holiday spirit spilled out of the business district to fully decorated parks, playgrounds, and major thoroughfares.

Dalipe also switched the giant computerized Christmas tree at the Integrated Bus Terminal on.

“The 25-meter tree, comparable to an eight-story high building, features thousands of LED lights dancing with synchronicity to traditional Christmas-themed melodies,” the description of the Christmas tree at the mayor’s social media page said.

The Zamboanga City Hall and the Christmas tree at the bus terminal are expected to draw crowds during the holiday season.
