GAC Motor PH nails 305% growth in sales

Chinese-owned Guangzhou Automobile Group Motor Co. Ltd. (GAC Motor) Philippines is inching closer to its 2,000-unit sales target by year-end as it announced on Thursday, Nov. 9, that it has already sold 1,488 units year to date, up 305 percent from last year.

GAC Motor said that October proved to be its “best-ever” sales performance with the Astara model contributing a record-high 268 unit sales, or 523 percent growth from the same month last year.

"Our continuous success in retail sales has propelled GAC Motor to unparalleled heights, affirming the growing number of Filipinos who appreciate and recognize the unmatched value that our vehicles offer,” GAC Motor Brand Head Franz Decloedt said.

The company’s sales growth is driven by the increasing demand for its vehicles, with the all-new GS3 EMZOOM and 7-seater GS8 SUV as the major drivers.

With 423 units sold since its launch four months ago, the SUV-type GS3 EMZOOM showcases GAC Motor's bold and futuristic design language, advanced technology, and efficient drivetrain.

Meanwhile, the class-defining GS8 SUV achieved 378 units in sales bringing prestige to premium buyers as it showcases a bold design style, surging power, and pioneering smart configurations.

The EMKOO and EMPOW also continue to attract buyers looking for the perfect blend of technology and performance. With their sleek designs and advanced features, these models offer a compelling combination of cutting-edge innovation and impressive power.

In October, the EMKOO and EMPOW sold 124 and 118 units respectively, indicating strong demand for their exceptional products in the GAC Motor lineup.

These vehicles consistently exemplify GAC Motor's four key pillars of meticulous craftsmanship, exceptional product quality and services, cutting-edge technology, and engineering excellence backed by a robust supply chain supported by renowned global brands.

“We move closer to our target of breaking 2,000 units by year-end, and this achievement bolsters our commitment and confidence in providing our customers with the utmost experience, encompassing exceptional vehicles, top-notch after-sales service, and enhanced accessibility through an expanded network of dealers," Decloedt said.

Expansion plan

On track with its plans to expand its dealer network to 20 locations by year-end, GAC Motor recently celebrated the formal inauguration of GAC Cainta last Oct .11, which was attended by visiting executives from Astara and GAC International.

“Our unstoppable growth is complemented by our rapid dealer network expansion, made possible through earnest collaboration with both our existing and new dealer partners who share our unwavering vision and confidence in the GAC brand," Decloedt emphasized.

Currently, GAC Motor has 17 showrooms and service facilities located in key cities nationwide, specifically Alabang, Batangas, Bacolod, Bacoor, Butuan, Cainta, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Lipa, Makati, Manila Bay, New Manila, Pampanga, Pasig, Quezon Avenue, and Tarlac.

The company will soon open three additional facilities in Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Marilao.
