Cops, civilians in Lapu-Lapu City cited for efforts in anti-crime campaign


CEBU CITY – Police officers and civilian stakeholders were awarded for their roles in the campaign against criminality in Lapu-Lapu City.

Police Col. Elmer Lim, chief of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO), led the awarding during the 122nd Police Service Anniversary on Wednesday, November 8, in a hotel in Lapu-Lapu City.

Awardees were Police Lt. Col. Fortunato Ty Ecle Jr. (Best  Senior Police Commissioned  Officer for Administration), Police Lt. Col. Joey Bicoy (Best Senior Police Commissioned  Officer  for Operations), Police Major Felix Cleopas III (Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration), Police Major Albert Jay Samson (Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer  for Operations), Police Chief Master Sgt. Renato Llanes Jr. (Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) for Administration), Police Executive Master Sgt. Romuado Torregosa (Best Senior PNCO  for Operations), Police Staff Sgt. Lolieboy Terana (Best Junior PNCO for Administration), Police Corporal Robert Remollo (Best Junior PNCO for Operations), and Helen Sebial (Best Non-Uniformed Personnel).

Top performing police units in Lapu-Lapu were also recognized.

Police Station 4 was adjudged as the Best Police Station.

Special units were also awarded for their exemplary performance in the Philippine National Police’s flagship programs. Awardees were Station 3 for the campaign against loose firearms and wanted persons and Station 4 for the campaign against illegal gambling.

Among the civilian awardees was Leslie Lim, wife of Lim, who was recognized for her role in the city’s anti-illegal drug advocacy programs.

Aside from helping provide anti-illegal drug advocates with livelihood, Mrs. Lim was also instrumental in the construction of a media center in LLCPO at no cost to the government.

The activity was attended by National Police Commission-Central Visayas Assistant Regional Director Risty Sibay.
