Juan Alejandro Aboitiz gets new role in family's power firm

Juan Alejandro Aboitiz has officially started his duties as the new senior vice president of Aboitiz Power (AP) Corp. this November.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, changes in the 2023 General Information Sheet (GIS) have been made to reflect the newly appointed officer.

Additionally, Aboitiz has also taken the role of chief financial and information officer of the Energy Corp.

He is also a chief financial officer for other electricity companies, such as Aboitiz Energy Solutions and AdventEnergy, Inc.

He is also on the board of AP Renewables, Inc. SN AboitizPower-Res, Inc. and Mazzaraty Energy Corp.

Besides handling the electricity generation arm of the Aboitiz Group, he is the chairman of Therma Luzon, Inc. and Prism Energy, Inc.

His appointment was followed after the resignation of Liza Luv Montelibano as the previous Company official.

Montelibano stepped down from her post last Nov. 1 and was replaced by Aboitiz.

The reason for Montelibano’s departure is due to her transfer to City Savings Bank.

Nonetheless, AP Corp. remains to be the country’s largest owner and operator of renewable energy.

This was showcased through the company’s installed capacity which was able to present energy solutions that are eco-friendly. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
