State-run Social Security System (SSS) has sent notices of remittance violation to a pharmacy and a household appliances retail store in Taguig City.

In a statement, SSS said P3.4 million worth of unpaid workers’ contributions and penalties were found in the two establishments.

This is due to their failure to remit the contributions and non-production of records.

The notices stated that the delinquent employers have only 15 days to settle their contributions, with SSS Bicutan-Sun Valley Branch.

Otherwise, they would be sentenced to civil, criminal, and administrative cases against them, as written in the Social Security Act of 2018 or the Republic Act No. 11199.

SSS officials Rolando Ledesma Macasaet, Robert Joseph De Claro, Voltaire P. Agas, and Renato Jacinto Cuisia conducted their recent Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) operation in Taguig.

According to them, there are six more delinquent employers who have received a similar notice for their failure of remittance.

Since then, the SSS has continued to operate strategic RACE ops since March of this year to go after delinquent companies and protect the rights and welfare of employees within the private sector. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
