Police said a veteran radio broadcaster was shot dead in Misamis Occidental on Sunday morning, November 5.
The victim was identified as 57-year-old Juan Jumalon.
Reports said Jumalon was live on air in his home-based radio station 94.7 Calamba Gold FM in Barangay Don Bernardo A. Neri in the town of Calamba at around 5:30 a.m. when a lone gunman entered and shot him in the face.
The victim also known as “Johnny Walker” was taken to a hospital in Calamba where he was declared dead.
Police are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the suspect and determine the motive.
