Councilor Yevonna Yacine Emano, daughter of PaDayon Pilipino founding chairman the late former Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Vicente Emano, stressed that the party’s family essence will vanish if they only help their constituents.

“We all work together for the entire people of Cagayan de Oro; may I request that from you all?” Emano said.

Hundreds of newly elected officials, from barangay captains to Sangguniang Kabataan members from 24 barangay, took their oath led by PaDayon Pilipino chairperson Mayor Nadya Emano of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, the other daughter of the late city mayor.

They vowed to deliver their responsibilities as barangay and SK officials and promised not to use their positions for their personal interests. They also promised to fight against corruption and tell the truth about violations of their duties.

Cagayan de Oro City Rep. Lordan Suan, PaDayon Pilipino team leader in this city, said he wants to seek more funds to help barangays in their development projects and assistance programs.

The Tagoloan Mayor said her brother, Misamis Oriental Rep. Yevgeny Vicente Emano, was unable to attend the event, as the oathtaking was urgently held because some of the newly elected officials want to assume office on Monday, November 5.

Under Memorandum Circular No. 2023-166 of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), newly elected barangay and SK officials may “immediately and effectively assume office” once they have been proclaimed, taken their oath of office, and submitted their Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCEs).

Rep. Emano congratuled all newly elected officials under the  party in a video message.
