On Thursday, Nov. 30, Berberabe replaced Chancellor Edgardo Carlo Vistan II in the said position.

Berberabe was a Senior Lecturer at UP College of Law, a Professional Lecturer on Jurisprudence and Legal Philosophy at the Philippine Judicial Academy, and former Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

According to the UP College of Law, Bernabe's vision is for the UP Law to provide education that stimulates discourse and leads the nation by responding to technological and social change while maintaining its commitment to securing a "just society."

"For UP Law to continue the tradition of producing leaders in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government and the nation's key thought leaders, and to ensure that these leaders serve the public with honor and excellence," Berberabe said.
