Korean man arrested for allegedly raping a Filipina in Pasay City

A Korean man was arrested after a Filipina filed a rape complaint against him in Pasay City on Nov. 28.

Pasay police chief Col.Marion Mayames said the 18-year-old victim filed the complaint against the suspect, Kevin, 25, a Korean national.

According to the police report, the incident happened at around 4:45 p.m. inside the suspect's room in Barangay 15, Pasay City.

The victim told police that prior to the incident, she was endorsed by a common friend to Kevin to work as a casino dealer at the suspect's office at HK Plaza, Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City.

The victim said that after the interview, she was invited by the suspect to a dinner and demanded her to go with him in his apartment.

She said that once they were inside the room, the suspect again demanded her to drink liquor which she refused, but he dragged her to bed and forcibly undressed and allegedly sexually abused her.

The victim said that after the sexual assault, she managed to leave the place and immediately reported the incident to Pasay Police Substation 1 in Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex.
