‘Christmas by the Lake’ lights park opens in Taguig

“Christmas by the Lake,” touted as the country’s biggest lights park, opened in Taguig on Nov. 29, offering a dazzling display of lights and attractions.

The Taguig City government brought back the “Christmas by the Lake,” a six-hectare attraction at the Lakeshore complex.

“Saan ka makakakita ng lungsod sa Metro Manila na ganito? Proud po kami sa aming Probinsyudad and we are happy to share the happiness of Taguigueño to all of you (Where can you find this in Metro Manila? We are proud of our Probinsyudad and we are happy to share the happiness of Taguigueño to all of you),” said Mayor Lani Cayetano.

The park has concert grounds with a Christmas tree adorned by thousands of lights, food kiosks and a stage for events.

The Graffiti Tunnel, a black light art experience, features murals by local artists using fluorescent materials. One can pose for a photo at the "I Love Taguig" installation or the hand heart, and engage with the Giant Coloring Floor.

It also showcases the Heart Tower and the 3D Lighted Church, a radiant replica of the historic Santa Ana Church built in 1587 and designated as a minor basilica in 2022.

The “Christmas by the Lake” also has the Dancing Light Tunnel, Maze of Life and Aqua Luna Lights and Sounds Show, featuring laser and beam animations synchronized to beautiful sound effects.

The Walkway of Lights offers a pathway filled with radiant displays and picturesque views. For added comfort, a village train ride is available for seniors, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women.

The Taguig City government said the Lights of Christmas is pet-friendly but only small breed dogs and cats are allowed. They should also be on a leash and wearing diapers while inside the attraction.

The Lights of Christmas, part of the  ‘Christmas by the Lake,’ will be open to the public until Jan. 14.
