DHSUD to build condo buildings for nearly 1,900 families in Bacoor

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) is set to build nine 15-storey buildings that will house almost 1,900 informal settlers and low-income earners in Bacoor City in Cavite.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar said the buildings for condominium-type units in Barangay Zapote 1 would be complete with open spaces, parks and other amenities.

“The lot is an ideal in-city government housing strategically located in the city center. It is near the barangay hall, school, hospital, market and more importantly, it is near a commercial area,” said Acuzar.

Acuzar then lauded Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla and the City council for providing a lot for the government’s housing program.

So far, about 20 housing projects under the flagship Pambansang Pabahay are in various stages of development and construction throughout the country.

In Bacolod City, at least 288 condominium-type housing units are scheduled to be delivered next month.
