Pasay LGU focuses on children's 4 fundamental rights

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced during her State of the City Children Address (SOCCA) that the city government is focusing on four fundamental rights of every child in the city.

Rubiano delivers her SOCCA on Nov. 23 at the Pasay City Cuneta Astrodome to honor the children and celebrate the city government’s achievements and lay  down the city’s plans for their future. 

She said that a strong and stable state of the children is tantamount to a strong and stable state of the city.

The mayor said the four fundamental rights of every child are right to development, right to participation, right to survival, and right to protection.

Rubiano also announced that the city government will distribute 8,000 Early Childhood Care and Development materials with learning package, health kits, school uniforms, books for children aged two to four years old.

She also reported that about 8,034 children participated in various developmental activities from 109 Child Development Centers; 228 were provided with a Special Program for Employment of Students, and around 350 children per month from all over the city undergo a series of Values Formation and Spiritual Enrichment Program.
