Criminal group leader, members arrested; ₱2M illegal drugs seized


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga –The leader of the notorious Janawi criminal group and two of its members were arrested by authorities during an anti-drug operation in Subic, Zambales, Wednesday night, Nov. 22.

The leader of the notorious Janawi Criminal Group and two of his members were arrested by authorities with over  P2 million worth of illegal drugs in Subic, Zambales, Wednesday night. (PNP) 

Police Regional Office 3  Director Police Brigadier General Jose  S Hidalgo Jr said that operatives from the Subic Municipal Police Station, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Zambales Provincial Office and other law enforcement units launched the anti-drug operation. 

The drug sting resulted in the arrest of Roger Janawi, the leader of the Janawi criminal group and two other members of the group, who were already on the watchlist, around 8:55 l.m. in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic Zambales.

Seized from them were suspected shabu weighing 296 grams and with an estimated worth of P2,012,800.00. 

Also recovered were a caliber 38 Revolver with six live ammunition.
