The Cool Smashers gun for an impressive eighth straight victory to protect their unblemished record in their 4 p.m. tussle with the Nxled Chameleons, while the Flying Titans also aim to stretch their winning run to eight games after an opening-day loss in their 6 p.m. collision with the PLDT High Speed Hitters.

Despite Nxled’s back-to-back wins that improved its win-loss tally to 3-5, the Chameleons knew they needed to triple their efforts to hurdle a solid team like Creamline.

Nxled’s Japanese coach Minowa Takayuki will continue to rely on his young guns in Jho Maraguinot, Lycha Ebon, Krich Macaslang and Kamille Cal in pulling off an upset against a talent-laden Creamline crew composed of Michele Gumabao, Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza and Kyle Negrito.

Also out to continue their assault were the Flying Titans, who are coming off a 19-25, 25-8, 25-17, 25-19 win over the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers last Tuesday, Nov. 21, that hiked their standings to 7-1 behind Creamline.

Sisi Rondina, who scored 21 points, is expected to fuel Choco Mucho anew along with Isa Molde, Kat Tolentino and Cherry Rose Nunag.

But PLDT seeks to play spoiler to also keep its semis hopes alive after suffering back-to-back setbacks from Chery Tiggo and Creamline that put them at 5-3 in the middle standings.

Meanwhile, Akari also aims to remain in the semis race as it shoots for its fifth win against four losses versus ousted Galeries Tower in the 2 p.m. opener.

The Chargers, however, face the challenge of overcoming the Petro Gazz Angels and the Cool Smashers in their last two games to get a crack at the last semis berth.
