Army soldiers were onboard BRP Filipino Flojo under the command of Lieutenant Commander Marlon Paca-anas to participate in the test fire.
“With the successful conduct of the test fire with the Navy, this ensured operational readiness of naval armaments and evaluated the proficiency aboard the ship for combat readiness,” said Major General Marion Sison, the 3ID commanding general.
The team’s capability on gun operations, misfire procedures and safety briefings were tested.
An army medical team from the Camp Peralta Station Hospital were also on board.
With this armament test, the 3ID is looking forward to strengthening its partnership with the Navy.
“This partnership will help maintain peace and order in Western Visayas and Central Visayas,” added Sison.
