Police identified the fatalities as Renz Tiu, Veronica Ng, Romnick Tiu, and an alias "Balong."

Initial investigation said the victims were riding a Toyota Camry (XPR-424) driven by Tiu and traveling to Olongapo City from Mariveles, Bataan where they just attended the wedding proposal of a relative.

When the car reached the sharp curve portion of the zigzag road on Jose Abad Santos Ave., a dump truck (CAK-1460) driven by Domingo Faelanca Firmo, 56, of Marilao, Bulacan, crashed into them at around 8 p.m.

The car went underneath the truck, making it hard to retrieve the victims’ bodies.

Victims sustained severe head and body injuries and were declared dead on arrival by doctors at James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital here.

Firmo was unharmed but is now under police custody

He told police the truck is used in mining operations in Zambales and was being brought back to its owner in Manila when the incident happened.

Firmo admitted that he was feeling sick when the accident happened, police added. (with PNA)
