Drug suspect arrested in Las Piñas City


A 38 year-old man was arrested by members of the Las Piñas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) after he yielded over P129,000 worth of alleged :shabu” during the serving of a search warrant in the city on Saturday, Oct. 7.

According to the Southern Police District (SPD),  the suspect was arrested at around 4:20 p.m. along TS Cruz Subdivision, Barangay Almanza Dos, Las Piñas City.

Col. Jaime Santos, Las Pinas City police chief, reported that SDEU members was armed with a search warrant issued by Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court  Branch 202 Executive Judge Elizabeth Yu-Guray,  during the operation.     

Santos said the police searched the suspect’s house and conficated  eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 19 grams of alleged shabu worth P129,200.

He said aside from the shabu confiscated from the suspect, the operatives were also able to recover several cellular phone and two pouches.
