6 wanted persons arrested in Pasay City


Members of the Pasay Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) arrested six wanted persons, including a 78-year-old man on Friday, Oct.6.

Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspects as Arnulfo Hernandez; Fernando Castillo, Patrick Xenon Lazaro; Leo Divina; Rufino Espino; and Jimmy Jagonoy.

Uy said Hernandez who is facing a frustrated homicide case was arrested by WSS members in coordination with the personnel of Substation 2 at around 6:20 p.m. on Sandejas St., Barangay 47, Pasay City. 

Uy said the suspect went into hiding for 18 years. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the presiding judge of Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 231, on September 22, 2005, with no bail recommended.

Uy said Castillo, 78, wanted for slight physical injury was arrested at around 5:00 p.m. on Torres St. in Barangay 72, Pasay City by virtue of an arrest order issued by Judge Sheila Marie Valencia Sison- Javier of Pasay City Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) on August 16, 2023, with P3,000 recommended bail.

Lazaro, wanted for illegal drugs in Pasay City and for violation of a Makati city ordinance, was arrested at around 4:30 p.m. by WSS team in coordination with Maricaban substation in Barangay 179, Maricaban, Pasay City.

He said the suspect was nabbed based on arrest warrants issued by Judge Petronillo A Sulla of Pasay RTC Branch 110, Pasay City on March 9, 2022 and Judge Melinda Cielo C Mendoza of Makati MTC, Branch 125 on February 15,2023.

Mendoza recommended a bail of P2,000 for Lazaro.

The city police chief said Divina was arrested at around 4:15 p.m. at Arnaiz Avenue, Barangay 67 for illegal drug case.

Uy said Divina was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Edilwasif Tapsiril Baddiri of Pasay RTC Branch  Branch 115, with a recommended bail of P200,000.

He said Simbajon wanted for slight physical injury was arrested by members of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) substation on C. Jose St. in Barangay Malibay, Pasay City.

Simbajon was arrested by virtue of warrant issued by Judge Jose Janello A Covarrubias, of Pasay MTC, Branch 47, with a recommended bail of P3,000.

He was turned over to the WSS after his arrest.

The city police chief said Jagonoy, an illegal barker was arrested on FB Harisson St. by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Allan B. Ariola, of Pasay MTC on September 10, 2019, with a recommended bail P2,000.
