Leading e-commerce platform Shopee is set to launch #TatakPinoy International, a free program that will enable Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their businesses and connect with international customers in Singapore and Malaysia.
Shopee Philippines Head Vincent Lee shared that Shopee's primary objective is to facilitate the growth and prosperity of Filipino entrepreneurs.
“We’re excited about their potential to expand their presence globally through #TatakPinoy International. This underlines our unwavering dedication to fostering local economic growth and forging sustainable opportunities for our community of local MSMEs,” Lee said.
The #TatakPinoy International will also allow Filipino entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase their talents to an international audience, promoting Philippine culture and craftsmanship.
Similarly, the program which will be available first to Shopee's markets in Singapore and Malaysia, will offer seamless cross-border logistics support, allowing sellers to connect with overseas buyers and expand their consumer base.
#TatakPinoy International represents a significant stride towards Shopee's mission to empower Filipino businesses in the digital era by providing opportunities for growth and development.
This can be seen in Shopee’s efforts through its various services and features, such as Shopee Live, Shopee Affiliates, and Shopee University, with opportunities to start their e-commerce businesses, elevate their brand, and form strong communities with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and buyers.
“We will remain committed to harnessing the transformative potential of technology to facilitate long-term growth for our Filipino sellers,” Lee added.
As a leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, Shopee promotes an inclusive digital ecosystem by enabling businesses to grow, benefiting users, and uplifting local communities.
