Good news, students!

Princeton University has announced that it offers 100 percent tuition grants for students whose families earn less than $100,000 (P5,600,000) annually. According to Princeton's Admission and Aid page, this will be available beginning in the fall of 2023.

“We are committed to making a Princeton education affordable to all. Our financial aid program for undergraduates is recognized as one of the most generous in the country,” the university announced. “We provide financial aid in the form of grants that do not need to be repaid. This means undergraduates can graduate from Princeton debt free.”

Traditionally, tuition fees at Princeton cost $83,140 (P4,655,840). This budget includes tuition, housing, food, and miscellaneous expenses. Under this new financial aid program, all of these expenses can become free if a student qualifies for the program.

There are also financial aid offers available for international students, provided they meet the criteria set by the institution.

“Princeton is one of only a handful of schools in the country that do not limit financial aid available for international students,” the university says. “The full need of all admitted international students is met the same as it is for students from the United States.”

Some notable people who studied at Princeton University include F. Scott Fitzgerald, Michelle Obama, and Jeff Bezos.
