Parañaque Mayor Eric distributes 'bigasan package' to 32 beneficiaries

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez distributed “bigasan (rice) package” to 38 city residents with small businesses to help them recover from the effect of Covid-19 pandemic.

The distribution of  the package held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex served as a birthday treat of Olivarez to city residents with small businesses.

The city chief executive will be celebrating his birthday on Oct. 4.

The mayor said the beneficiaries from Barangay Moonwalk received 18 sacks of rice with 25 kilos each.

Olivarez said the distribution of rice package is a livelihood project of the city government in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment, aimed at helping small businesses badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

He told the beneficiaries to work hard in order to grow the small business awarded to them by the city government.

Olivarez said 129 beneficiaries also from Barangay Moonwalk received the rice package on May, 2023.
