The Taguig City government received multiple commendations and recognitions for its various health programs from the Department of Health (DOH).
It said it was one of the only two local government units (LGUs) in the country that was invited to a global meeting to showcase its best practices in the National Immunization Program.

Taguig LGU was hailed as Immunization Champion for reaching every “purok” in the city.
The DOH gave the Taguig City Health Office the following awards:
- Certificate of Recognition for its exceptional performance achieving 85 percent program target for Category 2 and 3 Animal Bite Cases
- Certificate of Recognition for its implementation of the National Safe Motherhood Program and Adolescent Health Development Program
- Local Government Unit (LGU) Winner for Access to Essential Medicine Category for the National Safe Motherhood Program and Adolescent Health Development Program
- Rising Star Award for Mental Health Program
- Certificate of Commendation for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health
- Best in Practices and Innovations for Newborn Screening
- Best Gallery Presentation for Newborn Screening
- Best Audio Visual Presentation for the Drug Output Program
Under the leadership of Mayor Lani Cayetano, the Taguig City government vowed to continue innovating programs and projects that ensure the welfare of its residents.
