YG Entertainment, G-Dragon’s former agency, said in a statement, "It is difficult to respond officially as he is not currently an artist under our company."

G-Dragon’s exclusive contract with YG Entertainment expired.

The police declined to give details about G-Dragon, saying, "Because it is an ongoing investigation, we cannot reveal specific details."

In 2011, G-Dragon was accused of smoking marijuana in Japan. He tested positive for marijuana.

At the time, YG Entertainment said someone gave G-Dragon a cigarette that turned ou to be marijuana. He said he had a few puffs and then threw it away after realizing that it had a different taste.

G-Dragon initially tested negative after a urine test but tested positive during a hair drug test.

Prosecutors decided not to charge him since only a small amount was found in his body.

Before G-Dragon, actor Lee Sun-kyun was booked by the police on drug charges (marijuana and psychotropic drugs) and was investigated.
