Rebecca Loos, the former assistant of football superstar David Beckham, confirmed the stories in the self-titled Netflix documentary were true. However, she criticized Victoria Beckham's husband for making her appear dishonest.
In an exclusive interview for dailymail.co.uk, uploaded on Oct. 21, Rebecca urged David to take responsibility for the consequences that occurred almost two decades ago.
"It's all, 'poor me.' He needs to take responsibility.
"He can say whatever he likes of course and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he's making me look like a liar, like I've made up these stories.
"He is indirectly suggesting that I'm the one who has made Victoria suffer," Rebecca said.
It has been almost 20 years since David's former assistant caused a media frenzy by revealing details about their relationship.
During its premiere week, the four-part Netflix documentary "Beckham" amassed a record-breaking 3.8 million viewers since its release on Oct. 4.
According to the Broadcasters Audience Research Board (BARB), 3,813,100 fans tuned in for the first episode.
On Oct. 4, Victoria broke her silence on the media buzz surrounding her husband David's alleged affair with Rebecca.
The former Spice Girl revealed it was the "hardest" of her life after it was reported that her husband and his assistant had become close while he was playing in Spain for Real Madrid.
"100 per cent. It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us," confessed Victoria, when asked about the difficult period of her marriage, as reported by dailymail.co.uk.
Victoria added: "Here's the thing, we were against each other, if I'm being completely honest. Up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.
"But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was. And how it affected me," the former singer-turned-fashion designer said.
Beckham had stated that the stories were 'horrible' and made him feel sick every day.
Asked how they survived the crisis, David said: 'I don't know how we got through it, in all honestly. Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we're fighters, and at that time, we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family."
Rebecca is now living a quite life in the mountains of Norway with her husband and two sons.
