Parañaque LGU awards winners of poster, slogan contest in celebration of 'Consumers Welfare Month'


The Parañaque city government awarded the students who won in the poster and slogan-making contest that it initiated in celebration of  the “Consumers Welfare Month” on Thursday, Oct. 19.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the activity held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex was participated by 18 high school students from different public schools in the city.

Olivarez said the activity themed “Gen S: Generation Sustainable” was conducted in coordination with the Consumer Welfare Office under the supervision of Millan Alcaraz.

He added the activity is important in promoting and raising awareness about responsible and sustainable consumer practices.

The mayor congratulated all the participants in the event and announced that all the non-winners will be given P5,000 each as a consolation prize.

Olivarez awarded Sarah Athena Reyes from Parañaque National High School Main who won the first prize with P15,000 cash, Jilliana Clarizze Sorizo of Marcelo Green High School who got the second place with P10,000.
