'Silver Lining': A new musical of hope and redemption

Every great musical has a compelling storyline at its heart. The performers, creative team, and the audience are united 'in the moment' of theatre magic.

Rockitwell Studios and MusicArtes Inc., passionately committed to nurturing Filipino music and talent and creating this magic, announces the launch of a brand-new Filipino musicalâ€”SILVER LINING in October 2023 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza.

An original work featuring modern rock and pop music, Silver Lining is a journey of rediscovery in two timelines, reliving the challenging times of the 70s as well as understanding the struggles and conflicts of today's youth with mirthful moments and drama.

The music explores this generation's experiences, including falling in love, brotherhood among friends, and finding the silver lining amidst the difficulties of survivalâ€”a story of resolution, hope, and redemption.

Maribel Legarda, the director of PETA's hit long-running musical 'Rak of Aegis,' is directing Silver Lining. The script is written by Palanca awardee Joshua Lim So, with lyrics and music by Jack Teotico, and additional music, lyrics, and musical direction by Vince Lim. The choreography is handled by PJ Rebullida.

Ricky Davao leads a full cast of seasoned and emerging artists, including Noel Comia Jr. and Krystal Brimner of Star Magic.
