The options for eco-friendly and affordable transportation continue to increase with the arrival of Dongfeng Motors in the Philippines, a producer of ICE, hybrid, and fully-electric vehicles.

Dongfeng Motors announced its arrival earlier this week, with its launch attended by no less than the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., alongside the former Governor of Ilocos Sur, Luis Chavit Singson, who serves as the chairman of Legado Motors, Inc., its exclusive Philippine distributor.

The collaboration between Legado Motors, Inc. and Dongfeng Motors aims to provide the Filipino public with budget-friendly, eco-friendly, and highly-efficient EV mobility options. This partnership represents a significant step forward in the nation's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and combat climate change.

With a focus on efficiency and sustainability, this EV is expected to reshape urban transportation, making it both affordable and environmentally responsible. It is priced at just ₱888,000.

Forthing Friday

Up next is a slightly larger offering, the Forthing Friday. Dongfeng will offer it in two variants, both with very long ranges to cater to the diverse needs of the Filipino driver. The first variant, with a range of 430 kilometers, is priced at ₱1,980,000. For those who require an even longer range, the second variant boasts an impressive 630-kilometer range and is priced at ₱2,580,000. These models offer a compelling blend of performance and sustainability.

Aeolus Huge Hybrid

The last offering, the Aeolus Huge Hybrid, combines the benefits of a hybrid powertrain with spacious interior design. This model is tailored to meet the needs of those who require a bit more space and power in their vehicles while still adhering to eco-friendly standards. It's a perfect fit for those who appreciate versatility in their transportation choices. It’s priced at ₱1,880,000.

The partnership between Legado Motors, Inc. and Dongfeng Motors represents a significant milestone in the Philippines' push toward greener, more sustainable transportation. Backed by passion

Dongfeng Philippines is backed by passionate and dedicated dealer partners, assuring potential clients that their vehicles will be supported by dealers just as passionate and dedicated to the brand.

Among them are Dr. Jose Chua and Dra. Juanita Chua, who after visiting a car manufacturer in China and experiencing the impressive automotive innovations sought to own a dealership of this Chinese brand. Through meetings with Gov. Chavit Singson and Mr. Wilbert Lim, they managed to secure a dealership for this brand, appropriately named Dream Cars Unlimited.

Similarly, Ms. Rachel Villanueva, the president of Autoflare, transitioned from showbiz to the automotive business industry. Her background in sales paved the way for her successful progression. Impressed by Dongfeng's advanced technology, premium driving experience, outstanding car designs, and full electric vehicles, Ms. Rachel made significant contributions to the automotive business sector.

Mr. Dexter Co, a veteran of the industry with nearly 19 years of experience, also joined the venture. Owning multiple dealerships across Luzon, his passion for cars propelled him to become one of the top car dealership owners in the Philippines. Together, Mr. Co and Ms. Rachel Villanueva are known as the power couple of the automotive industry.

The future of mobility in the Philippines looks greener, more budget-friendly, and environmentally responsible with the launch of these innovative Dongfeng EVs.
