Wanted NPA fighter nabbed in Quezon

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police arrested a wanted New People’s Army rebel in an encounter in Barangay Tonggohin in Infanta, Quezon on Tuesday, October 17.

Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas identified the suspect as “Ka Rico,” also known as “Lloyd” and “Bulag,” from Pangil, Laguna, and a member of the Sub-Regional Military Area 4-A of the Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee.

Ka Rico was listed as the most wanted person on the regional level of PRO 4-A.

Suspect yielded an M16 assault rifle, a caliber .45 pistol, a handheld radio, and personal belongings.

Ka Rico was apprehended on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Raymund Joseph Morales Soroñgon, acting presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 65 in Infanta, dated August 10, 2023 for attempted murder.

The court recommended an P80,000 bail for his temporary freedom.
