EXO’s D.O. to leave his agency but continue to be with group

K-pop boy band EXO’s D.O. will be leaving SM Entertainment once his exclusive contract expires next month.

D.O. will be transferring to a new agency called “Company SooSoo.”

"Company SooSoo" is founded by Nam Kyung-soo, the long-time manager of D.O. (real name Do Kyung-soo). The agency will be for his acting and personal activities. However, D.O. will continue to be with EXO under SM Entertainment.

"Do Kyung-soo's exclusive contract will end early November. As a result of discussion, it has been decided that EXO's activities will continue with our company," SM Entertainment said.

D.O. debuted in EXO in 2012 and has ventured into acting.

On Oct. 18, it was reported that EXO’s Chanyeol and Sehun would be transferring to a new agency.

SM Entertainment refuted this, saying, "Chanyeol and Sehun's transfer to the agency is not true. The contract between SM and EXO members signed at the end of last year is valid, and EXO's activities will continue with SM."

"However, only for the member's individual activities, under the exclusive contract with SM, we have decided to conditionally allow the member to proceed through a company established by the member if he wishes," it added.
