Pop princess Britney Spears revealed she had an abortion while dating Justin Timberlake, according to excerpts from her memoir.

Based on extracts published by People Magazine, Britney claimed Justin was not happy about her being pregnant.

Britney and Justin dated between 1999 and 2002.

"He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives," Britney said.

Britney, 41, said she would keep the baby if the decision were left up to her.

"For me, it wasn't a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I'd anticipated," the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" hitmaker said.

Britney was married to actor-model Sam Ashgari in 2022. But they separated in August this year.

Justin, 42, is married to actress Jessica Biel. They have two children.

The N'Sync member has not commented on Britney's revelation.
