Comedian Jimmy Santos surprised the hosts of the noontime program "E.A.T." on TV5 when he briefly appeared on the show to wish Joey de Leon a happy birthday.
Carrying a box of cake, Jimmy wished Joey a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday! Alam mo naman hindi kita makalimutan!" Jimmy told Joey, who then encouraged him to greet all the viewers in English.
"I like to greet you a happy, happy, happy birthday!" Jimmy said. "Whatever happen in this country, I still love you all three times a day!"
Then Jimmy was also asked to greet all the viewers of the noontime program.
"Especially those people surrounding vicinity, I miss you all. Thank you very much. Still here. Eat Bulaga is here to stay!" Jimmy said.
But the hosts corrected Jimmy when he accidentally mentioned "Eat Bulaga."
Vic and Joey told Jimmy: "Mali, mali! It's 'E.A.T.'!"
"Wala kang kupas," Vic told Jimmy.
"E.A.T. Is here to stay! Okay? Thank you so much!" said Jimmy as he corrected himself.
Jimmy appeared on the show as the driver of "E.A.T." character, Papa Itan, played by Wally Bayola.
The "E.A.T." segment wrapped up when the show's hosts sang a birthday song for Joey, who just turned 76.
It was in December 2021 when Jimmy last appeared on "Eat Bulaga" in the "Bawal Judgmental" segment.
Jimmy used to be part of "Eat Bulaga" on GMA Network for many years. He is currently based in Canada. Although he is no longer active on television, he is keeping busy with his YouTube Channel.
