Jollibee's CEO named Management Person of the Year

The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) has named Jollibee Foods Corporation CEO Ernesto “Ato” Tanmantiong as the “MAP Management Person of the Year 2023.”

The "MAP Management Person of the Year" award recognizes exceptional individuals in business or government who have made significant contributions to the country's progress and re-shape national values, recognizing their outstanding leadership and exemplary leadership record.

Conferred 47 times in its six-decade history, the said award was based on integrity, leadership, management qualities, nation-building contributions, and effective stewardship.

Tanmantiong was recognized for his role in transforming Jollibee into a global restaurant company, guiding his group through a quick turnaround after a COVID-19 loss, and contributing to job creation and income generation.

He was also chosen for raising the Philippine flag globally, advocating for inclusive growth among small and medium enterprises, supporting malnutrition eradication, promoting sustainable practices, and shaping national values through hard work, passion, and discipline.

Tamantiong is the 47th recipient of the award which will be conferred on Nov. 28.
