Marcos said this as he met Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss in Malacañan on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 11.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Fluss briefed Marcos about the latest information on Hamas militants' attacks against the war-torn country.

During their discussion, the President expressed concern for the three Filipinos unaccounted for in Israel.

He, however, thanked Israel, specifically the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), for rescuing over 20 Filipinos and bringing them to safety.

"The Ambassador assured the President that Israel is doing all it can to ensure the safety of our nationals," the PCO said.

President Marcos told Fluss that the Philippines would support Israel's fight against the Hamas.

"The President assured Amb. Fluss that the Philippines will always stand with Israel in this war against the inhuman terrorist attacks by Hamas," the PCO said.

As of Wednesday afternoon, two Filipinos were confirmed dead in the ongoing war that started with Hamas' surprising land and air attacks against Israel on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Malacañang has condemned the attacks and ordered government agencies to ensure the safety of Filipinos in Israel.
