Las Piñas Mayor Aguilar supports city's Tourism and Cultural Council


Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar gave her full support to the city's Tourism and Cultural Council (LPCTCC) that was formed to conduct studies and plans to develop the cultural heritage of the city.

LPTCC Supervising Officer Paul Ahljay San Miguel said the members of the LPCTCC was formally introduced during their third quarterly meeting held at the Las Piñas Café on Sept. 29.

San Miguel said the meeting led by Aguilar was attended by City Administrator Reynaldo Balagulan,  Las Piñas City Councilor Emmanuel Luis Casimiro, Department of Interior and Local Government – Las Piñas City Director Mary Anne Planas, United Artist of Las Piñas and Las Piñas Heritage Guiding Association Inc.

Discussed during the meeting were the programs and tourism development plan drafted by the LPCTCC to enhance programs on Las Piñas' cultural heritage. 

The tourism and cultural office head also said the LPTCC meeting also discussed the history of Las Piñas, identified the heritage markers found around the city, and shared programs to protect, promote and develop the city’s heritage.
