Both these models are based on Volvo’s advanced vehicle platform and also have the same All-Wheel Drive (AWD) twin-motor powertrain. These models produce 408-electric horsepower and 660-Nm of torque.

Those keen to take their first step to emissions-free mobility won’t be disappointed as the C40 and XC40 Recharge SUVs offer a long range of 549-km and 537-km, respectively. They are also compatible with quicker DC fast charging, capable recharging from 10% to 80% percent in just 27 minutes at the appropriate DC fast charger.

Matching their futuristic power source is also futuristic design language. These models feature contemporary Scandinavian design and the use of more sustainable materials. The C40 Recharge has all the benefits of an SUV but with a lower and sleeker coupe-like design. The front introduces a new face for electric Volvos and includes headlights with state-of-the-art pixel technology. The rear of the C40 Recharge features a striking rear-end design to go with the lower roof line, that differentiates it from the XC sibling. The XC40 Recharge also features a new front bumper and a frameless grille plate that keep it visually in sync with the C40 Recharge.

Inside, passengers will enjoy the guilt-free premium leather-free upholstery interiors in the pure electric C40 and XC40 Recharge. There’s also a panoramic sunroof, advanced air purifier system, and smart cabin solutions, among others. New exterior colors also offer further possibilities for personalization.
