Traffic is a good sign for the country this holiday season, MSME Council Vice Chairman Joey Concepcion said in a radio interview Saturday, Sept. 30 with Senator Francis "Tol" Tolentino.

According to Concepcion, everyone from the business sector has been busy preparing for Christmas, when they expect to rake in big profits.

"So everybody prepares for Christmas and itong work-from-home at least many are already working on site so iyon ang isang bagay na maganda, there is greater mobility (there is greater mobility now and that's good)," he said.

"Siyempre nakikita natin may traffic (Of course we can see that there's traffic), but when I say traffic, in a sense that the economy is really moving," Concepcion said.

"So kung walang traffic then that means there is no traffic in the malls, when you go to shopping centers punong-puno mga shopping centers natin ngayon (So if there is no traffic then that means there is no traffic in the malls, when you go to shopping centers they're full of people right now)," said the Go Negosyo founder.

Concepcion further said: "Those are good signs that people are out...spending."

He said that the during last quarter of the year, which coincides with the holiday season, business sales go up between 35 to 40 percent.
