The Manila Police District (MPD) awarded 15 policemen and units to celebrate the 122nd Police Service Anniversary at the Diamond Hotel in Malate, Manila on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
The event was led by MPD chief Brigadier Gen. Andre Dizon and Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan who was the guest of honor at the MPD anniversary.
The awarding ceremony was themed “Nagkakaisang Pulisya at Pamayanan tungo sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Bansa (United Police and Community towards a Peaceful and Prosperous Country).”
Eight policemen were cited for their outstanding performance in different categories, while three units and three police stations were recognized for various awards.
MPD Raxabago Police Station was awarded for having the highest number of arrested persons for illegal gambling and firearms confiscated.
MPD Ermita Police Station earned the most number of arrested wanted persons.
Meanwhile, the MPD Plaza Miranda Precinct was recognized as the Best Police Community Precinct, while the MPD Delpan Police Station as the Best Police Station.
Among the awarded Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for Administration were Col. Julius Cubos Añonuevo, Col. Samuel Baobao Pabonita, Lt. Col. Paul Jady Doles, and Lt. Col. Roberto Ape Mupas.
Three officers from different MPD police stations were Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO), including Executive Master Sgt. Emmanuel Fernandez Reyes, Jr., Senior Master Sgt. Jonathan Arevalo Acido, Senior Master Sgt. Jana Justine De Jesus Sales, and Staff Sgt. Ezekiel Tiamzon Nepomuceno.
Paula Belino Cuasay, admin aide in MPD Sta. Cruz Police Station, was named the Best Non-Uniformed Personnel.
Also present were some senior officials of the Philippine National Police-National Capital Region (PNP-NCR) and some retired generals who served as MPD directors.
